Privacy Policy

This page explains how I, Leo, handle data in connection with chufftuff.com and a private automation tool that uploads videos to my own YouTube channel, "Chufftuff", using YouTube API Services. I am a private individual, not a company. This is a personal project that I alone built and operate; the automation tool has no other users and is not sold, licensed, or distributed to anyone else.

1. Who operates this

I am Leo, a private individual. I personally operate chufftuff.com and the automation tool described here. There is no company, agency, or team behind it — just me.

2. What the application does, and exactly what data it accesses

The automation tool uses the YouTube Data API v3 to interact only with my own YouTube channel. Specifically:

youtube.upload — used exclusively to upload videos that I have produced myself to my own channel (via videos.insert, resumable upload). The tool never uploads, edits, or deletes videos on any channel other than my own.

youtube.readonly — used only to call channels.list with mine=true, solely to confirm that the stored OAuth token is still valid and points to the correct channel before attempting an upload.

No data belonging to any other user or channel is ever requested, read, stored, or processed. The application performs no automated interactions with other channels or users of any kind — no automated comments, subscriptions, likes, or messages.

3. Who uses this application

There is exactly one user: myself, the operator and owner of the "Chufftuff" channel. The tool has no public interface and is not published, sold, or licensed to anyone else; no other person's Google or YouTube account is ever connected to it.

4. How data is stored

The OAuth refresh and access tokens issued by Google are stored locally only, on my own private server. They are never uploaded to any third-party or cloud storage service, and never shared with, sold to, or disclosed to any third party. They are used solely to authenticate calls to the YouTube Data API v3 on my own behalf, for my own channel.

5. Data retention and how to revoke access

Because the only data processed is my own channel's data under my own OAuth grant, I am also the only person who could revoke that access. It can be revoked at any time via Google's own account permissions page: security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. Deleting the locally stored token file immediately and completely stops the application's access to YouTube API Services; no further data is retained once the token is deleted.

6. Google's Privacy Policy

Because this application uses Google APIs, its use of information received from those APIs adheres to the Google Privacy Policy.

7. YouTube Terms of Service

Use of YouTube API Services through this application is bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. By using YouTube API Services through this application, I (the operator) agree to be bound by those terms.

8. A note on commercial activity

This policy describes a private automation tool with no other users, not sold or licensed to anyone — that is a statement about the tool, not about the channel. It does not claim that the "Chufftuff" YouTube channel or its content is non-commercial: the channel may, now or in the future, take part in programs such as the YouTube Partner Program and earn revenue from its content. Those two things are separate.

Deutsche Kurzfassung
